About our presenters:

Cynthia Dionne

Cynthia Dionne has done extensive work as a lead trainer with the Desired Results Project – an innovative early childhood assessment system designed by California. Cynthia brings almost thirty years of experience in early childhood education. As a preschool teacher, director, online instructor, and trainer of trainers – she offers a widespread understanding of online learning. Currently, she advises on program enhancement and compliance through an array of training and coaching services.

Sonia Sandoval-Edinger

CIR’s Executive Director, Sonia Sandoval-Edinger, M.A., has over 2 decades of experience overseeing multiple projects dealing with abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment on state and national programs, with activities ranging from identifying training needs, organizing training events, developing curriculum, collecting and facilitating the sharing of best practices, to representing the project in and presenting at local, statewide and national conferences. Her passion lies in culturally responsive, quality service provision that reduces trauma for all individuals.

Joshua Thomas 

Joshua Thomas is a freelance creative consultant with a passion and commitment to serving the community. He started JT Creative Counsel as an outlet for his creativity and imagination while remaining rooted in nonprofit work. As a creative consultant, his goal is to help clients build deeper connections with their audiences through powerful messaging, polished presentations, and thoughtful design. With almost a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, Josh continues to be inspired and fulfilled by his work. In 2021 he joined the California chapter of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (CAPSAC) Board of Directors.
