A Letter from the CIR Team

Dear Friends of CIR,

Like many nonprofits, CIR has experienced extraordinary organizational challenges over this last year, including a decline in resources and the loss of key staffing. These factors, along with an uncertainty around future levels of funding, have caused CIR to evaluate its capacity to meet its organizational obligations and to fulfill its mission. Over these last few weeks, CIR worked diligently to find a path forward that would allow us to stabilize operations and continue this very important work. 

Recently, CIR’s board of directors met to consider the current state of CIR, its resources, and its future. After a deliberate discussion, the board made the difficult decision to wind down its operations and close its doors after the first of the year. CIR will continue to operate through December 31st, to close out its contractual obligations. 

While we share this message with sadness, we also do with gratitude for partners like you and the important work we have done together. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to support you in the limited time we have remaining.
