Course Description: 

The California Child Abduction Training Project has created a free virtual Multi-disciplinary Child Abduction Training for rural counties. This training introduces participants to a multi-disciplinary approach to assist professionals working within all facets of child abduction. The training provides an opportunity for county partners to increase their understanding of the roles of each agency and network with partner agencies towards a more coordinated response for missing and abducted children. 

The course consists of viewing 12 pre-recorded modules followed by participation in a live virtual case scenario and panel discussion with members of the Calfornia Child Abduction Task Force on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021, from 10:00 am - 12: 00 pm (PT) via Zoom. participants who complete all 12 modules and join the panel discussion will receive a certificate of completion.

  • Legal Issues
  • How CPS Interfaces with Other Agencies
  • Federal Agencies' resources and Response
  • Recovery, Reunification, Reintegration

  • Prosecutor Response and Resources

A link to view the pre-recorded modules will be sent to you after you register. Once all 12 modules have been completed, you will receive a Zoom link to join the live panel discussion.

CEU’s: Course meets qualifications for 8 hours of Continuing Education Units (Provider #128510) as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. The Center for Innovation and Resources, Inc. (CIR) is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs and LCSWs. CIR maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content. CEUs will be available after the webinar for a fee of $45.
