The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is the statewide coordinator for the AMBER Alert, Silver Alert, Endangered Missing Advisory, and Blue Alert. The CHP is a national leader for the application of the Wireless Emergency Alert in emergency alerts. This course will provide a brief description, capabilities, and process of the WEA. The focus of the discussion will be from the perspective of City, County, and Community Leaders.
