Teens on Screens: How to Protect Our Youth in Today’s Cyber World

Young people spend increasing amounts of time on the internet – instant messaging, texting, emailing, and posting images on social sites like Facebook and Instagram. It can be a challenge for parents and professionals to understand and monitor the ever-changing technology and ensure their children are protected from online predators. Tracy Webb will present a comprehensive overview of the current issues in cyber crime. Topics include: identifying internet predators, chat rooms, sexting, sextortion, cyber bullying, geo-tagging technology, social networking sites, and technology facilitated crimes against children.
